Volunteers are very important to Meewasin. Meewasin could not accomplish what it does in the river valley without volunteer support. Meewasin has volunteers for stewardship programs, public programs, committees and special events (valley clean-up), or as special groups (Trail Ambassadors). Stewardship volunteers usually come as already organized groups and will donate time to planting, cleaning, and eradicating intrusive plants from the valley. Community Advisory Committee volunteers are recommended by one of the participating parties; the City of Saskatoon, Province of Saskatchewan, and University of Saskatchewan and are subsequently recruited by managers of the respective departments.
