Whether you're a conservationist or a history buff, a lifelong Saskatoonian or a first-time visitor, the Meewasin Valley has an adventure for you. We are excited to announce that we now offer THREE unique walking tour experiences designed to give you a brand-new perspective on our city and the valley.

Every step you take with us gives back to the land. All proceeds from these tours support Meewasin’s conservation and education programs, making this a truly sustainable experience for generations to come.

The DTN Tour (Downtown)

When: May - September | Wednesdays (5:30 - 7:00 PM) & Saturdays (10:00 - 11:30 AM)

Location: Meet in Front of the Remai Modern Art Gallery

Duration: 1.5 KMs - Easy to Moderate Hike

The Experience: Explore the past, present, and future of the Meewasin Valley. This fascinating walking tour uncovers the story of the river trails in downtown Saskatoon. You'll learn exactly how the river and its banks have long been intertwined in the story of our city, and how Meewasin is working to preserve them.

The Beaver Tour (NEW!)

When: June - August | Mondays (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM)

Location: Meet at the West Saskatoon Weir Parking Lot

Duration: 1.5 KMs - Easy to Moderate Hike

The Experience: Did you know that there's a healthy population of beavers that call Saskatoon their home? Explore the urban riverbank with our guides and learn how nature's engineers - the beavers - shape our local environment and thrive within the city.

The Beaver Creek Conservation Area Tour (NEW!)

When: July - August | Saturdays (10:00 AM - 8:30 PM)

Location: Meet at the Interpretive Centre at Beaver Creek Conservation Area

Duration: 1.5 KMs - Easy to Moderate Hike

The Experience: Step into the beautiful valley of Beaver Creek Conservation Area, an oasis within the Meewasin Valley. This introductory guided hike explores the natural wonders of Beaver Creek as one of Meewasin's knowledgeable guides takes you on a journey across one of our trails. Learn about the plants and animals that call Beaver Creek home as you take in stunning views at a handful of scenic stops along the trail.

Public Tour Rate: $25 per person | Student Rate: $15 per student

Private Tour Rate: flat fee $345 | Private Student Rate: flat fee $200
