UPDATE: The Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink @Nutrien Plaza is closing on March 19th, 2023

The Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink @Nutrien Plaza is open for the season as of December 7, 2022!

Located beside the Delta Bessborough Hotel, the rink is open to the public from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

*NEW!* Starting January 4th, pre-registration is no longer required to skate. Access to the facility is now on a first-come first-serve basis.

Skate times start promptly on the hour from open until close. If the rink is at capacity, you will have 45 minutes of skate time before we clear the ice for the next group.

We reserve the right to limit site capacity for the safety and enjoyment of our visitors.

Nice days can be very busy! Wondering if there is a line-up? Call before you come: 306-229-8827.

The rink will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC for programming on the following dates/times:

Jan 25 from 1-3 pm

Feb 2, 9, 10  from 1-3 pm

January 14 & 28 from 4-8 pm (Sip & Skate)

February 11, 16, 25 from 4-8 pm (Sip & Skate)

Things you should know:

· SKATES: We recommend that you bring your own skates. We are currently in the process of re-building our skate inventory so we can once again offer skates to the public. If you need skates we may be able to assist, but please be advised that our current selection is very limited. Skate rentals end at 7:15 pm sharp.

· CHALET ACCESS: Chalet access will be permitted for skate fitting, but capacity is limited. The outdoor fire pit is available starting at 2:00 PM for warmup opportunities. Please dress for the weather!

· WASHROOMS: The public washroom facilities beside the rink are managed and maintained by the City of Saskatoon. As this is a public facility, we recommend that children go with a chaperone when visiting the washrooms.

· FENCE: Please excuse our ugly fence! The fence is in place to help us manage site activity for the safety and enjoyment of our visitors. We are hard at work on something nicer!

Please be kind to our staff. They are working hard to give everyone an opportunity to skate.

*Sorry, we do not accept private group bookings at the rink.

Thanks for being kind to our staff. They are working hard to give everyone an opportunity to skate safely!
