Site and Trail Closures

Effective the week of June 22, 2026, construction on the Kiwanis Memorial Park Central Trail Enhancement Project will begin.

For public safety, the trail section north of the Delta Bessborough gardens will be closed. Pedestrians are asked to use the detour along the sidewalk on Spadina Crescent.

Construction and detours are expected to be in place for a minimum of two months. Please exercise caution in the area due to the presence of construction vehicles and equipment. Do not enter the work zone.

This project will result in a renewed trail system with enhanced safety and accessibility features.

Kiwanis Central - Pedestrian Detours

Effective the week of June 29, 2026, construction on the Kinsmen Upper Link Trail Enhancement Project will begin.

For public safety, the trail section under the University Bridge will be closed. Pedestrians are asked to use the detour along the sidewalk on Spadina Crescent or on the lower trail along the river.

Construction and detours are expected to be in place for a minimum of four months. Please exercise caution in the area due to the presence of construction vehicles and equipment. Do not enter the work zone.

This project will result in a renewed trail system with enhanced safety and accessibility features.

Upper Link - Pedestrian Detours

As part of the City of Saskatoon’s Biosolids Project, the Meewasin Trail from the Silverwood Dog Park to Wanuskewin will be closed. A detour will be in place from the Silverwood Dog Park to Marquis Drive, connecting to the multi-use pathway on the Chief Mistawasis Bridge and McCormond Drive.
