Beavers are frequently encountered in the Meewasin Valley, and are considered an important keystone species in our region. Explore the world of these fascinating animals through the eyes of Mike Digout, renowned for his photos and videos of beavers, and learn how Meewasin works to help people and beavers co-exist in the Valley.
With insights based on science and Mike's personal experience observing these industrious creatures, guests are certain to walk away with a greater appreciation for one of Canada's most iconic animals.

- 2 hour experience led by a Meewasin guide, with special guest Mike Digout

Your ticket price does NOT include:
- Transportation to and from the tour start and end location. Please arrange your own travel and parking arrangements.
Tour distance is 2-3 km on a paved trail. Guests should expect to be outdoors and walking/standing for approximately 2 hours.
This tour begins inside the Lobby of the Delta Bessborough Hotel. Our route will take us north along the Meewasin Trail to the Prairie Lily Dock located beside the Nutrien Wonderhub (Kinsmen Riverfront) before returning to the Delta Bessborough Hotel.
Note: Depending on the location of the beavers, some guests may choose to go off the main paved trail onto the dirt trail near the river’s edge for better viewing. This is at the discretion of the guest.
Please dress for the weather - things like a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, bug spray and proper outerwear will make your experience more enjoyable.
