The Meewasin Valley Intrepretive Centre closed July 1, 2016.
The Meewasin Valley Intrepretive Centre, Gift Shop and Art Gallery was a great place to start any trip to Saskatoon, or brush up on your local history while getting trail information and seeing local artists' work. We have gallery displays focusing on our river valley, why people chose this as a settlement site, and early Saskatoon history from 1882 and beyond. Historic photos and video displays take you back in time, and an interactive gallery with dress-up clothes, a stage, streetcar, and tower allow your imagination to bloom while acting out plays or refecting on a simpler time.
Other Special Events
The Meewasin Valley Interpretive Centre partners with other organizations to host such events as the annual Heritage Festival, Founders Day, Meewasin & Affinity Credit Union Clean-Up Campaign, and seasonal programs at the historic Marr Residence.
