An endowment is a gift of money or property given to a specified institution for a specified purpose. The principal amount of the gifts and the bequests that are accepted will be maintained intact and invested to create a source of income. The principal will remain intact in perpetuity, or for a defined period of time or until sufficient assets have been accumulated to achieve a designated purpose. Meewasin has set up the Meewasin Naturally Endowment Fund with the Saskatoon Foundation in perpetuity. Annual earnings from the endowment will go towards supporting Meewasin's future operations.
